The average person today is exposed to more stress in one single day than the average person 200 years ago was exposed to in their entire lifetime, thanks to email, social media, 24/7 news, etc. Since the amount of sleep available to us hasn’t changed in 200 years, our mind, body, and emotions become increasingly controlled by stress with each passing day.⠀ ⠀ Deep rest releases stress, and Vedic Meditation has been shown to provide a level of rest many times deeper than sleep, by using a personalized Sanskrit mantra that works with the natural tendency of the mind to think thoughts, de-exciting the mind to a level of supreme inner contentedness at which exponential stress release is possible. No focus or concentration is required, and anyone can do it—even those who think they “can’t meditate.”⠀ ⠀ This 28th April, Ashram will host visiting Vedic Meditation teacher Blaise DeAngelo for a free Intro Talk on Vedic Meditation followed by a four-day masterclass in Vedic Meditation taking place April 29th—May 2nd. Blaise is one of less than 200 teachers in the world with the blessing of Maharaji Swami Kailashanand Giri, the undisputed and preeminent Master of all the Masters of India. He has trained more than 3,000 hours with one of the world’s most enlightened Masters, Maharishi Vyasanand Sarasvati, and is recognized as a teacher in the gold standard of the prestigious Shankaracharya tradition of India, in the lineage of the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. ⠀ The course consists of four 90-minute sessions over four days, each of which include detailed instruction, group meditation, and sacred Vedic knowledge about proper meditation technique, neuroscience of stress management, and anatomy of consciousness, as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. You’ll come away with a deep understanding of your mind and body and mastery of a technique you can use for life to release stress and feel happier and healthier while creating and performing at your best. The first step to joining the course is attending the Intro Talk. Space is limited.
